This piece is my first written for modern ballet and is being choreographed by Allison Rossman. It's a visceral, touch-strong song detailing the cycle between engaged activity and loving self-communication, alongside the difficult withdrawal humans fall back into when things get too heavy.

Strong smells and sounds always evoke the strongest memories in me; nothing more than deeply concentrated olfactory and auditory input, experienced, reassembled, and outputted as passion, longing, regret, friendship, etc. This insight helped me see the body as the memory receptor, the sense of perspective, the gatekeeper of old, and the sameness between form and heart-mind.
